Formed in 2006 in Kingston, NY, USA Okosu is a Japanese word or phrase which means "to wake up" or "awaken". The word can also translate to wake, get up, sit up etc. The name was chosen by the band to symbolizre their lyrical messages of human error, falts of religion and the imenent destructiuon of civilization.
