A.k.a. Old & In The Gray
Bluegrass supergroup featuring Jerry Garcia, Peter Rowan, Vassar Clements, David Grisman and John Kahn. The band played 49 shows from March 2, 1973 to April 28, 1974. During the first rehearsal sessions, John Hartford was the fiddle player. Hartford was relieved during rehearsal sessions by fiddler Richard Greene who performed live with the band from March 2 to May 25, 1973. Greene was then replaced by Vassar Clements who performed with the band for the majority of their shows.
