Oliver 'Himmi' Himmighoffen is a respected live and studio session drummer from Frankfurt with 25 years experience in the industry. He is best known for being a former member of goth band ASP, having initially joined the group as a live drummer. Today he plays for the punk band Keller und Verstärkung, Die Kammer and the live band Niteshift and just recently joined Umbra Et Imago. Starting as guitarist for the band Kurzschluss he soon became interested in drums and made his first steps as drummer of the band Unheimlich. In 1988 he and his friend Matthias Ambré (Matzé) founded the German Punk-Rock band Gabi Mohnbrot, and played the drums for them until they disbanded in the mid 90s. After leaving Gabi Mohnbrot, Himmi played as guest musician for many regional bands, such as Die Gang, The Runners, Stereobugs, Order of Lust, V8 Wankers. He also worked together with Tülay Sanlav on different projects. After dissolving Gabi Mohnbrot, Matzé founded the band ASP together with Alexander F. Spreng (Asp). When ASP needed a drummer for the first records and later the first live gigs, Matzße contacted Himmi, who joined the band and became a fix member. In 2010, Matzé and Asp began fighting which led to the departure of Matzé in early 2010. After founding his new band, Die Kammer, Matzé asked Himmi, who still was a fix member of ASP, to assist them as drummer in their first gig in 2012. This was not discussed with Asp, who after finding out about it, threw Himmi out the next day. Since then, Himmi joined the Kammer, and also plays for two other regionally known Bands in Frankfurt am Main. Besides playing the drumms, Himmi also gives drum lessons.
