French bassist. Olivia Scemama started playing electric bass listening to metal in the 1990s. From 2000 she discovered jazz and contrabass at the American School of Modern Music, and then improved her technic taking classical lessons with F. Bazelaire. Between 2002 and 2009, Olivia is mainly active on the metal scene, while participating in pop, jazz, hip-hop, dance or theater projects. From 2013, she started collaborating with improvisers from the free and experimental scene. She plays today with Manolito, Wad, Volt, Tribalism3, Wonderbach, Masked Pickle, the Ensemble Electron, the Déchambré Orchestra, Yochk'o Seffer Neffesh Music...
