A.k.a. Olivier Georges Andriamampianina
Madagascar's best and most influential bass guitarist, nicnamed "Tôty", was born in 1962 and sadly passed away in 2017. He was one of the the first musicians to transfer the style of Madagascar's traditional box zither, the marovany, onto the bass guitar in virtuoso, almost jazz/rock manner, which has subsequently been emulated by many other contemporary players. He appeared on numerous local recordings, notably those by singer Olombelo Ricky (Randimbiarison) - released internationally on his album Olombelona Ricky (produced by Airto Moreira).
