Chillum Records was a subsiduary label of Plastic Head Distribution, Wallingford, Oxforshire, UK. Ian Staples and I were asked to join the label, initially as B So glObal, after PHD had handled distribution of our first album. After we handed over the masters for the second B So glObal album 'The World Is Covered In Windows', Chillum suggested that we might like to go away and 'play with our engines' for a release under a different name. We assembled a battery of old synths, drum machines, keyboards and samples, played them live in the studio and recorded the results. There was enough material for two albums, but Chillum disbanded before the second album was finished. Jon Seagroatt.
