One Deck & Popular from Peckham are part of a group of Midland exiles in South London called Steroid Abuse. The group of DJ's, musicians and writers hosted club nights for over five years in the Capital. Having begun life as solo spinners, "One Deck" Pete and "Popular" Steve K decided to team up on the basis that two heads are better than one. The pair soon progressed, pooling musical tastes and record collections to create a blend of old and new. Two releases to-date on Black Country Route Records from Wolverhampton being BCR002 and BCR005 whilst BCR003 is their remix ‘U Need Me’ by The Debonairs with a remix of ‘Son of Stitt’ by the The Debonairs on the b-side .
