Band, *1992
Rock
Members: Paul Bassett, Cope, Rob Bassett and Keith McCubbin Orange Deluxe were formed in October 1992 by singer/guitar hero Paul Bassett from the ashes of his former band, renowned Camden power trio Five Thirty . He re-recruited his original drummer Keith McCubbin, who had taken time off to sharpen his technique by touring for a year with the James Taylor Quartet and drafted in his kid brother Rob on bass (who has yet to be seen moving and playing simultaneously). The final ingredient in Orange Deluxe is guitarist extraordinaire Ian Copestake, known to all and sundry as Cope. He has featured in numerous combo’s in and around his native Liverpool and met Paul in his former role as Sound Engineer/ Camera man on the indie TV programme ‘Transmission’. (N.M.E.) [from myspace]
