Single UK 1980 on Postcard Records label
Rock and Pop (New Wave, Indie Pop)
First version with color insert. "Simply Thrilled Honey" is on the photo "A" side, and "Breakfast Time" is on the text side, and "LYN-9100" does NOT appear on the A-matrix runout. The original gimmick for the labels was for "Simply Thrilled Honey" to be the [lower-case] "a" side, while "Breakfast Time" was to be the [handwritten, capital] "A" side - which is why the photo side of ALL of the labels came marked with the handwritten, capital "A". Unfortunately Lyntone was not fully in on the joke, so on the original pressing (this) they assigned the photo side "A" labels to "Simply Thrilled Honey" (with the "A" matrix) and put the text labels on the "Breakfast Time" side with the "B" matrix. The label-placement was corrected on all subsequent pressings. The 'cowboy' die-cut sleeve is lighter than or the same tone as the labels. Greyish brown printing on labels (similar to sleeve). Label photography by Robert Sharp.
