Orest

Rock and Spoken Word

Orest was a home-based group of high school friends from Sarajevo, Bosnia, former Yugoslavia, active from 1983-1987. They recorded 9 cassette albums on a primitive, improvised home equipment on a simple cassette recorder, using mostly acoustic instruments. Songs were based on their own original lyrics mostly penned by Nebojša Kostadinović. Beside him, the core line-up included also Sead S. Fetahagić and Milan Hamović. A selection of best songs from these cassettes was digitally "remastered" and self-released on the double CD compilation "The Best of Orest" in 2010.
