A.k.a. Jakob Fredrik Orion Köhlström
Orion Köhlström (b. October 11, 1841 in Stockholm d. April 14, 1902 Karlsborg) was a swedish musician and composer. Köhlströms father was a composer and member of the Hovkapellet for 25 years and was also the Tambourmajor of the Stockholm vaktparad. At a young age Orion Köhlström also became a member of the same orchestra (1863-1870) as a Timpanist with the additional duty to perform "Turkish Music". Köhlström was the last timpanist to perform at the opening of the old Ståndsrättsriksdagen dressed in a medieval timpanist-costume. He also earned some recognition for his timpani solo in the wedding march of Ulfåsa, at the premiere of "Bröllopet på Ulfåsa" April 1 1865. Later he became a military musician (trumpet) at the Skånska dragonregementet. From 1894 and onwards he was the "stabstrumpetare" and "musikanförare" (Musical Director) of the Göta Trängbataljon in Karlsborg.
