OrkesterJournalen is Sweden's only jazz magazine. OrkesterJournalen's first publications came in 1933, mostly then distributed within a leaflet to households from Nordiska Musikförlaget. But, when the jazz music grew publicly and became more popular, the circulation of the jazz magazine OrkesterJournalen also changed its distribution channels. With its start in 1933, OrkesterJournalen is the world's oldest still existing jazz magazine. DownBeat, OrkesterJournalen's American jazz magazine colleague, also first published in 1933 was beaten there by a couple of month.
