His wide catalog include musicians like Guaco, El Trabuco Venezolano, Alberto Naranjo, Los Cuñaos, Cecilia Todd, Frank Quintero, Cecilia Todd, Mango, Sonero Clásico del Caribe, Arturo Sandoval, Lilia Vera, Pablo Milanés, and many others. The Montiel productions cover since recording studios until live shows as "Oscar D'León at Teresa Carreño's Theater", when D'León celebrated his 30th Anniversary on music. Montiel worked for many years as manager and producer on discographic labels as CBS, BASF and also was a founder on INTEGRA Records.
