Chilean pioneer and fundamental mambo, cha-cha-cha, big band jazz, brass music, bolero, guaracha and tropical music, formed 1954 in Santiago. Disbanded 1964, reunited 2014 again, and still active until these days. With their unique "Big Brass Tropical Band Sound" they were a really inspiration and predecessor of bands the likes of Sonora Palacios, Los Vikings 5, Rumba 8, Giolito Y Su Combo, among others, and responsable of the success of the "Cumbia Music" in the late 60s, 70s and 80s in Chile. Members First Orquestra: - Jack Brown: lead vocals (1954). - "Lucho" Kohan: alt sax, musical direction (1954 – 1961). - Roberto "Mono" Acuña: troumpet (1954 – 1961). - Pastor Gutiérrez: trumpet (1954). - Carmelo Bustos: alt saxo, clarinete (1954 – 1962). - "Berríos": tenor sax (1954). - Fernando Morello: piano (1954). - Raúl Angel: contrabass (1954 – ¿). - Lucho Córdova: drums (1954 – 1961). - Oscar "Mulato" Salazar: tumbadoras and congas (1954 – 1961). - Humberto Lozán: lead vocals (1955 – 1962). - Pedro Suárez: trumpet (1955 – 1959). - "Kiko" Aldana: tenor sax, baritono sax (1955 – 1964). - "Nello" Cianguerotti: piano (1955 – 1959). - "Willy" Marambio: trumpet (1956 – 1959). - Álvaro Vicencio: tenor sax (1959).
