Brazilian guitarist, pianist, composer and arranger. Born: 15 May 1940 in Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Died: 27 September 2013 in Los Angeles, California, USA (aged 73). Castro-Neves was a composer, who was considered a founding figure in bossa nova music. He was the brother of guitarist Iko Castro Neves.
