Danish folk fiddler (1904-1989) from Haverslev, Himmerland. One of the important figures in passing on the old traditional music of Himmerland. He became a member of Rebildspillemændene - and a number of younger musicians like Lars Lilholt and Klaus Pindstrup often refer to Otto Trads as one of their major musical inspirations. Other musicians of the Trads family: - the father: Jens Nielsen Trads (1859-1916) - and the other Trads brothers: Kristian Trads, violin (real name: Niels Kristian Nielsen Trads), 1889-1962 Niels Trads, violin, cello and trumpet (real name: Niels Nielsen Trads), 1893-1977 Jens Trads, violin and trombone (real name: Jens Ravnkilde Nielsen Trads), 1896-1977
