If one would have to describe Our Stolen Theory he or she could say that OST is sophisticated and classy electronic rock group ready to unleash its potential and creativity. If one would have to locate band in a musical map, the pin might point somewhere between progressive breaks and modern pop/rock. Our Stolen Theory is three-strong group. Lead-vocalist, writer and musician Max Paananen, young uprising musical engineer Pekko Haimi and industry veteran Aku Sinivalo who has widespread comprehension of modern studio-technology and big career as a producer in the industry. Their main goal is to establish a band which is at the same time electronic and same time live and analog where all the segments would support each other. “Knob-turning”, instrumentalism and groovy improvisation, all in one tight package. In studio-wise Our Stolen Theory has produced number of tracks but as the level of demand rises, they also spend nowdays more and more time on each song; writing, recordind, mixing and editing. Every band has influences, but amongst Our Stolen Theory members, the scale is pretty wide. It varies from adult-oriented rock of Toto to massive brit-rock sound of Coldplay, from Hybrid´ s soundtrack-type albums to Armin van Buuren anthem trance. The band also has a thing for “old skoolish” sounds and epic melodies of that golden era of club music. However they always maintain a combination of their own personal musical urges.
