Ovum is a four piece instrumental math-rock/post-rock band from Tokyo, Japan. The band was formed in 2006 and consists of Norikazu Chiba (guitar, keyboards), Yosuke Jinnouchi (guitar), Shinichi Tahara (bass) and Yu Tokuda (drums). They've toured Europe in 2014 and 2017 and are also popular in other Asian countries such as Indonesia or Taiwan. They describe their music as “the pursuit of universal beauty such as the sweetest of melodies and harmony, which may sound classical”. Recently they also include metal elements in their music.
