Rock and Pop
Formed in 2014 as Creek, when Drummer Ciara Doran and Singer/Guitarist Heather Baron-Gracie met whilst attending BIMM Manchester; changing the band name to Pale Waves in 2016. The band's early demos led to them signing with Dirty Hit Records. Original second guitarist Ben Bateman and bassist Ryan Marsden both departed to be replaced by bassist Charlie Wood and second guitarist Hugo Silvani. They released their first single for Dirty Hit called "There's a Honey" on 21 April 2017. On 1 June 2017 the band played a sold out show at Madison Square Garden supporting The 1975 on their North American tour. A second single "Television Romance" was released on 16 August 2017 with its promo video directed by The 1975 lead singer Matthew Healy. Healy later appeared on the cover of NME with Heather Baron-Gracie for the 20 October 2017 edition of the magazine. A music video was made for the bands next single "New Years Eve" and was released on 5 December 2017. A fourth single "My Obsession" was released to radio on 12 December 2017
