Rick McBrien, guitarist and vocalist for Cleveland's Paranoid Lovesick, died in 2003 of an apparent heart attack. A native of Detroit, Rick was one of the founding members of Paranoid Lovesick. The band was heavily influenced by The Byrds, The Raspberries, and Teenage Fanclub. After McBrien responded to an ad placed by founders Bill Stone (vocalist and rhythm guitarist) and John Potwora (drums) in a local Cleveland music weekly in 1994, the band released a 6-song Mini Album entitled "Molly" in 1995 on Revolting Eye Music. Although the band had recorded 2 full length CD's since then, a rotating door of rhythm sections players and various problems kept the band from reaching it full stride. The band was able to contribute to various compilations (specially the "Badfinger Tribute") even as shows became fewer and fewer.
