Paris (born September 8th 1974) is an English artist specialized in graffiti art. He currently (2011) lives & works between London & Bristol UK. His trademark style is both playful and intuitive, combining graphic futurism with indulgent mark making & vivid block-busting colour schemes. Paris's paintings represent a collision of stylistic influences, from sci-fi to avante garde, with titles that are vestiges of a machine age. Since the spring of 2011 Paris has been artist in residence for Coldplay. Initial sketching sessions with the band soon developed into the creation of large scale artworks, forming the catalyst for three major projects in particular, all inspired by the history of wall painting & public graffiti. Through close collaboration with the band and designers Tappin Gofton, Paris informed and inspired much of the cover artwork for Coldplays 5th studio album Mylo Xyloto. He has since decorated many of the bands instruments and stage sets for their 2011 festival tour, working closely with art director & set designer Misty Buckley. Further to this, he and a select team of fellow artists worked with Mat Whitecross and Pulse films to produce animated graffiti sequences for the Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall video.
