A singer with the Ben Bernie Orchestra, and worked with Al Jolson, Will Rogers, and Eddie Cantor in the 1920s-1930s. In the mid-thirties he commenced a radio career in Chicago, but after a few years he had only limited success in the music business. On September 3, 1952, Kennedy committed suicide.
