Born: June 22, 1956, in Midland, Texas, U.S. Died: October 11, 2006, in Shreveport, Louisiana, U.S. Steel pedal guitarist, guitarist / Scientist and researcher. Although his career path was as a scientist and researcher in the medical field, music was his love from an early age. Patrick Smith was an accomplished musician and played steel pedal guitar for the band Hipshot in the Shreveport/Bossier area. He played guitar as well as steel pedal guitar and served as a studio musician with both instruments, in addition to his role as a band member.
