Patrick Gusset, aka Shabani, was born in 1979 in Basel in a family with Swiss-Jamaican background. He was drama student in Berne and was working as actor and director at the theatres in Cologne/Germany and Basel/Switzerland. In 2003, he started with his successful band Shabani And The Burnin' Birds, in order to perform Reggae and intercultural music.
