Patrick Matthews (born 29 November 1975) is the former bass guitarist of Australian garage rock band The Vines and the former bass guitarist of Youth Group. In 1994 Matthews founded The Vines with vocalist and lead guitarist Craig Nicholls. The two met while working at McDonald's in Sydney. Matthews stayed with the band for two albums, Highly Evolved (2002)and Winning Days (2004).
