Paul Beier is an American lutenist. He graduated from the Royal College of Music, where he studied with Diana Poulton.He is founding member of the Italian Lute Society, and a consulting editor of the Lute Society of America Journal.In 1981 he was invited to start a lute program at the Scuole Civiche di Milano in Milan, where he still teaches baroque and renaissance lute, basso continuo and ensemble classes.His recordings as a soloist and director of Galatea have received high praise from Goldberg Music Magazine, Amadeus and others.
