A.k.a. Paul Blair
Paul Blair wore many hats during his career. A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Blair taught English as a Peace Corps volunteer in Malawi, Africa, worked as a free lance journalist in Indonesia and broadcast for Voice of America. As a jazz journalist based in Brooklyn, he founded SwingStreets and conducted walking tours of jazz sites throughout greater New York City's boroughs. He wrote a number of liner notes for CDs and served as editor of Hot House Jazz Magazine from 2003 until his death from a heart attack on December 6, 2011, shortly before his 70th birthday.
