British music magazine owner, and music journalist. After realizing there was nothing around to cover and document the movements of the emerging Jazz, Roots, & Groove music scenes through the eyes of clubland in the UK, Paul Bradshaw set-up the popular "Straight No Chaser" magazine to cover it, hiring the artist and graphic designer Swifty to give it an esoteric visual style. Sold worldwide, including its own issue in Japan, it become THE bible for those into such music around the world, featuring DJ charts from friend Gilles Peterson et al, it also covered the music & street arts in an easy to read yet musically educated editorial style, which many of its contemporaries arguably copied. Unfortunately the magazine was discontinued with the late-2007 summer edition, released circa August, issue number 46 from volume 2: "The Final Issue". Paul also contributed to compilations that highlight the musics covered in "Straight No Chaser", with some coming with the magazine on occasion, and others released separately.
