He made the UK charts under a couple of aliases: As “Laurie Lingo & The Dipsticks” he and Dave Lee Travis reached number four in 1976 with a spoof version of Convoy and as “The Pee Bee Squad” he had a smaller hit in 1985: Rugged And Mean, Butch And On Screen.
