Paul Gribble was born in 1938, and lived in Bristol until recently when he moved to a small village in the heart of Exmoor National Park. As a young man he won a scholarship to the West of England Academy of Art. On completion of his course he went into advertising as a graphic designer winning numerous awards at international packaging exhibitions. Paul's work covers a wide range of subjects including sports scenes, portraits, children and transport. His paintings have been widely exhibited and sold throughout the United States and he is represented in many noteworthy private collections. Paul painted "Mallard", the railway train used as cover art for Blur's 1993 album "Modern Life Is Rubbish".
