Paul McLoone (born 11 February 1967 in Derry, Northern Ireland), replaced Feargal Sharkey as the lead singer of The Undertones when the band reunited for a series of festival appearances in 1999. In March 1999, he moved to Dublin to produce The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show for Today FM. During his tenure as series producer, he co-created and co-wrote Gift Grub for five years until leaving Today FM in 2004. He returned to the station two years later to produce Tom Dunne's show (then called Pet Sounds).
