Paul Thomson was born in 1983, and was brought up in a musical home environment, with much exposure to blues, rock and jazz in his youth. Paul became introduced to underground electronic music and culture around 1998. With electronic music culture, his perspective was changed on how people expressed themselves musically and artistically. After experimenting with djing a few years later, Paul soon realized a desire to compose and produce electronic music. Previous years as a youth spent dabbling with piano, trumpet, and guitar helped create a more contemporary perspective for approach. While time spent fidgeting on old synthesizers, drum machines, and experimenting with analog multi-tracking inspired the beginnings to understanding how to use a computer as a digital audio workstation.
