Dutch journalist and television presenter. Focusing on current affairs he is known as a formidable interviewer but besides that has also an avid interest in classical music and has written weekly pieces on that subjet for Dutch national newspaper De Volkskrant, pieces that have also been collected in various books. After having stepped down as co-anchor of the daily week days late night current affairs talkshow "Pauw & Witteman" (after 8 seasons and 1302 programs) he started hosting the weekly classical music tv show "Podium Witteman".
