Track 1-5 was "dropped from the final track listing of No Parlez. Tracks 1-13, 1-15 and 1-16 were recorded at Royal Court Theatre, Liverpool on 3rd October, 1983. Tracks 1-14 and 1-17 were recorded by the BBC at the Hammersmith Odeon on 24th October, 1983. Track 2-1 "was dropped from The Secret Of Association....and added "Every Time You Go Away"". Tracks 2-13 and 2-14 were recorded at the Hammersmith Odeon on 5th April, 1985. Track 3-6 has "the full voice chorus". Track 3-17 has been revisited and remixed, because the "finished mix couldn't be found". Track 4-12 is "from the the No Parlez sessions." Tracks 4-13 to 4-18 were recorded at Abbey Road Studios on 24th/25th January, 1994.
