A.k.a. Paul Henri Charles Spaak
Belgian socialist politician (born 25 January 1899 in Schaerbeek, died 31 July 1972 in Braine-l'Alleud). Brother of Charles Spaak, he was three times Prime Minister of Belgium and hold high positions in European institutions (first President of the Common Assembly of the European Coal and Steel Community, first President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe) as well as the United Nations (first President of the UN General Assembly) and NATO (second Secretary General). He is considered as one of the founding fathers of the European Union.
