Brazilian Jazz/Bossanova drummer. He started in the 60s in "Berimbau Trio", along with Milton Nascimento, then joined A Brazuca replacing Victor Manga, and in the 70s was part of Elis Regina band. He became a percussionist of world renown, playing with Nara Leao, Gal Costa, Antonio Carlos Jobim, later moving to USA and playing with Pat Metheny, David Sanborn, Michael Brecker, Airto Moreira...
