The band "peak of normal" comes from the environment of the so-called Cologne "Stollwerckszene", inspired by groups like Can, Dunkelziffer, Trance Groove or the Schäl Sick Brass Band. It was founded by bassist Ole Muth and drummer Reiner Linke with the aim of creating improvisational music based on extraordinary rhythms. The loop-like, live grooves are complemented by acoustic instruments and electronics to a special sound experience. That sounds like avant-garde, live club music of today.
