Pedro de Castro Bruque (La Bañeza, 1954 - Barcelona, 1992), better known with his maternal surname as Pedro Bruque, was a Spanish heavy metal bassist and composer. Leonés by birth, he lived most of his life in Barcelona, where he developed his artistic activity. He has played in many bands, started his career in a band called "Machine Rock", later he was player with bands like Luc Barreto, Nubes Grises y The Nydia Sisters. In 1978 he was part of Abedul, a prog band from Barcelona, he recorded "Nosotros" with that band. Bruque also was bass player for Manzanita, a talented spanish gypsy songwriter, under the name of Pedro Castro. On the 80´s he appeared as bass player on heavy rock band Tigres and finally on his own solo project called Bruque, sdaly he dies on july 28th 1992 due to a brain tumor
