Percussionist born in Peru, nick named "Ebano" because of his dark ebony skin tone. He went to Spain with Alberto Cortez in 1956. Introduced Peruvian "cajón" in flamenco music, through Camarón and Paco De Lucía. As a session man he has played on folk (Nuestro Pequeño Mundo, Caco Senante) , flamenco (Camarón) or rock albums (Glutamato Ye-Ye) as well as with the Vlady Bas Quartet (jazz).
