Pero Gotovac (Zagreb, 12th of February 1927 - Zagreb, 21st of September 2017), was a Croatian composer, conductor and music producer. Son of Jakov Gotovac, married to Ljerka Marković-Gotovac. After finishig his studies at the Zagreb Music Academy he starts working for Jugoton as editor and producer. Since 1973 he worked as conductor for the Zagreb theater house "Komedija", where he stayed until 1996. He gained many acknowledgements and awards for his work. He was also a long-year member of the Croatian Musicians Union (Hrvatska Glazbena Unija) and the Croatian Chamber of Conductors, where he was active as president and member of their main boards.
