Brother of Dick Clarke (trumpeter) and Arthur "Babe" Clarke (saxes), played with : "Montgomery's Collegiate Ramblers", Wayman Carver, Chick Webb, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Teddy Wilson, Rex Stewart, Don Redman, John Kirby, Happy Caldwell, Jimmy Jones and others. Born : March 10, 1911 in Birmingham, Alabama. Died : April, 1975 in New York City.
