'Cavern Of Dreams', starring Andrew Schofield, opened at the Liverpool Playhouse in August 1984 and accurately reflected the background to the Merseybeat era. The play was based on Spencer Leigh's book, 'Let's Go Down The Cavern' and Spencer, Andrew Doble, Peter Rimmer and Paul Reid have written a song inspired by the stage shw and called it 'Cavern Of Dreams'. The song is capable of several different interpretations and initial performances indicate that 'Cavern Of Dreams' has the potential to become another 'Streets Of London'.
