UK Banjo player Pete Stanley was first taught the banjo by Peggy Seeger, later he developed 3 finger Bluegrass and Clawhammer styles. He is unusual as he plays bluegrass style with his fingernails, not picks. In the 1960s he was in the Tennessee Three (with Dave and Robb Mangunan from California) and, for four years, in a duo with Wizz Jones. He was performed, on and off, with Brian Golby. He has been a banjo maker since attending a course at the London School of Furniture (now London Guildhall University). He plays both open back and resonator Banjos.
