British record producer, born in Exmouth 28 May 1946, died in London 30 June 1992, he was Decca's label manager of L'Oiseau-Lyre. Since 1973 he curated the Florilegium series which presents performances of music from the Renaissance to the Romantic periods on original instruments, to a large extent the British equivalent of the German Archiv Produktion.
