of R&B/Soul and Jazz
London DJ famous for his Soul Cellar show which he launched on Capital Radio (London) in 1979. He went on to host “Drive” on Radio Mercury when it launched in 1984 and then becoming one of the founding presenters of Jazz FM (London) when it launched in London in 1990 where he spent 27 years before retiring due to ill-health in July 2017. Affectionately known as “PY”, he passed away due to complications from diabetes 1 November 2018.
