Peter A. Sumner
Enlisted in the Royal Naval School Of Music as a Bandboy in 1944 and was trained as an oboist. He has held appointments as Director of both Junior and Higher Training at the Royal Marines School Of Music and whilst appointed to The Band Of H.M. Royal Marines, Portsmouth Group, had the honour of serving with part of that band on board H.M. Royal Yacht "Britannia". He was appointed Director Of Music to the Fleet Band in January 1969 and is a composer and arranger for both band and orchestra. Several of his works have been published.
