Peter is an Assistant Professor of double bass and jazz at Michigan State University (1987). He is principal bassist with the Lansing Symphony and has performed with the orchestra of Miami and the Detroit Symphony. As a jazz artist, he has performed with Tommy Flanagan, Mark Murphy, Randy Brecker, Woody Shaw, and or course, requently with Patti (Richards) and Jeff (Kressler). You'll notice, if you turn your bass control up, that instead of just providing rhythmic structure and a chord frame, which he does magnificently, he also manages to play tunes, melodies and riffs which never intrude, always support, and frequently delight. (Liner notes by John Peakes, friend of Patti Richards and her friends, and founder and Artistic Director of the BOARSHEAD THEATER - Lansing's (Michigan) Professional regional theater, now (1987) in its 22nd year.)
