A.k.a. Peter Robert Garrett
Born: 1953, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Former lead singer of Midnight Oil and green activist. He was an Australian Labor Party member of the House of Representatives from 2004 to 2013, and became Minister for Environment, Heritage and Arts in 2007. He was re-elected at the 2010 election and was appointed Minister for School Education, Early Childhood and Youth by Prime Minister Julia Gillard. In 2016 he has recorded a solo album "A Version of Now", to be released on 15 July 2016. To support the album, Garrett has returned to live performance with a solo tour, backed by an all-star band called "The Alter Egos", featuring Martin Rotsey, Mark Wilson (3), Peter Luscombe, Rosa Morgan and Abbe May.
