[1976 profile] Professor Peter Godfrey is Head of the Department of Music and Dean of the Faculty of Music at University of Auckland. He directs two University choirs in addition to The Dorian Choir, was for sixteen years director of music at the Anglican Cathedral in Auckland, and for nine years conductor of the Symphonia of Auckland. He holds the degrees of M.A. and Mus. B. from Cambridge University, is a Fellow of the Royal College of Music, and recently was awarded the rare honour of a Fellowship of the Royal School of Church Music. Among other activities he has directed courses in choral music in Australia, the U.S.A. and England.
