Canadian jazz guitarist and composer, born 19 August 1944 in Ottawa, Canada, though long based in New York City. Peter Leitch recorded frequently as a leader for several labels, primarily Concord Jazz, Jazz House and Reservoir. He is no longer playing due to side effects from radiation and chemotherapy, though he is leading a 12 piece orchestra playing his originals and arrangements, which will premiere its debut performance on November 30, 2018 in New York City.
